SALT & STORM A Study of the Pool of Tears The salt is already falling. The storm is coming. There is a moment in Wonderland when everything changes. Alice has grown too large for the room. The little door is still there. The garden is still beyond it. But what seemed close enough to touch has suddenly become impossible to reach. And then come the tears. Salt & Storm takes its inspiration from that moment. A nine-shade eyeshadow palette built around the colors of deep water, gathering storms, crystallized salt and reflected light. Cool blues move from pale atmospheric tones into saturated ocean color, teal and near black depths, interrupted by luminous finishes that catch the light like water in motion. This is not simply a blue palette. It is a complete cool toned color story designed around depth, contrast, light and transformation. The mattes create structure and shadow. The luminous shades bring dimension and movement. Used together, they can move from a quiet wash of color to a deep, storm driven eye. THE NINE SHADES Midnight Current A deep midnight navy matte for definition, depth and smoke. Tidal Teal A cool aquatic teal matte designed to bridge blue and green tones. Salt Crystal A pale crystalline duochrome inspired by salt catching light. Storm Depth A saturated deep teal matte with the weight of water before a storm. Floodlight A luminous aqua duochrome that brings reflected light to the center of the color story. Drowned Sky A muted storm blue matte for diffusing, shaping and cool tonal transitions. Abyss A near black oceanic matte created for maximum depth. Deeper Still A saturated blue duochrome with shifting light and dimensional intensity. From Salt Crystal to Abyss, the palette travels from light to darkness. Pale crystalline highlights become tidal blues. Blues deepen into teal. Teal disappears into midnight. The nine shades were selected to function as a complete composition rather than nine unrelated colors. FROM WONDERLAND The inspiration reaches back to The Pool of Tears in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, but Salt & Storm does not illustrate the story literally.
